EVERY JOURNEY IS DIFFERENT
The relationships I build in my life are the most important things to me. I am also crazy about being in nature, literally any dog, and hot drinks.
I floated listlessly throughout life for almost thirty years before I learned that passion is a dirty word, your purpose can change with the seasons, and relationships are more important than anything else.
I know what it feels like to be lost in life. To be overwhelmed with the feeling that everyone else has it figured out, and I had no idea where to go or what to do.
And once I learned the tools to figure out my life, I never wanted to keep them a secret. I wanted to help as many people as I could.
So I became a coach.
WHAT THE HELL IS A COACH?
You won’t find me jumping around on a stage, whispering quietly in a dimly lit room, or trying to sell you a miracle.
To me, coaching isn’t manifestation or a mystic art, though it does involve a little magic. It’s hard work, perseverance, and knowing when to ask for help.
Coaching isn’t self-help, it’s a method of working through problems, and not just finding answers but building and working your way through and out of those problems. It is an active process that requires dedication and the willingness to embrace change.
And boy did I suck at pretty much everything I just said for a long time. It’s why I’m equipped to help you find what it is you are looking for.
WHO I WAS AND WHO I BECAME
I never knew what I wanted to do with my life until I learned the questions to ask myself. Then once I had those questions, I had to start moving forward.
Throughout my life, I wandered aimlessly, from job to job, even from country to country. I never really knew what I wanted to do, or who I wanted to be. I just knew that something was missing, and when I looked around at the people I admired it just seemed like they had it all figured out.
I worked in an Italian kitchen to put myself through school as a Network Engineer, I worked IT jobs in the UK and Canada for over 12 years and the entire time it felt like there was more to life than getting up every morning to do a job I only tolerated so that I could go out on the evenings and weekends to live. I spent as much free time travelling or out in nature, hiking, backpacking, seeing as many countries as I could on as low a budget as possible.
And while I did all of this, I usually had a camera at my side because when I was a kid I would flip through my dad’s National Geographic magazines and dream of being a travel or war photographer. But instead of going to a photography school, I went to engineering school.
I didn’t know it, but I’ve been sacrificing my personal freedoms and happiness for most of my life because I was doing what I thought I should do, instead of what I wanted to do. Something had to change, but I just didn’t know how to begin.
And if that sounds familiar, keep reading!
After 27 years of floating through life, I met the love of my life Abigail, and within three months of being together, we’d moved in together and started a wedding photography business. Finally, my life seemed to be moving in the right direction, but I had a long way to go.
Eventually, I was able to quit my engineering job and work full time as a photographer. We were travelling the world together, shooting together, and creating endlessly. I finally had a taste of doing what I wanted, and it felt -amazing-!
But it wasn’t quite right.
Then after 7 years of photography, I came across two words that would change my whole world.
I didn’t know what it was, or what it meant. The only thought in my head was of Tony Robbins yelling from a stage, getting people to clap and dance.
Oh how wrong I was, it was so much more than that. It was everything I had ever wanted and searched for. It was a way to help people, to strengthen my relationships, and to finally know the answers to the questions I’d been asking myself for so long.
I spent 9 months being trained by Martha Beck, one of the absolute best life coaches, teachers, and human beings out there. And not only her, but a whole cadre of amazing Master Coaches who have been through her training program.
Now I get to spend my days showing people some shortcuts on the path of life. Using the tools and techniques I’ve learned in my training to help them course-correct and move forward in the right direction.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
I am absolutely crazy about dogs and spend as much time with my dog Bowen as possible. If you have a dog, we’ll probably be best friends.
My wife Abigail is my best friend in the whole world. We have worked together for 9 years as wedding photographers which is the same length of time we’ve been together as a couple. She is an amazing healer and you can check out her work at www.mindbodyfree.com
As you can guess, I’m nuts about nature. I am happiest in the mountains or the forest and I want to spend as much time as I can out there. It was one of the main motivations for starting my coaching practice as I’ll be able to work from anywhere in the world, giving me more time for hiking and camping.
My first love is reading, my kindle is full, my shelves are full and I can never get enough of books. The kindle was such a game-changer for me because now I can bring dozens of books with me when I travel without having to carry all of that weight!

NO JOURNEY IS TOO GREAT
Our lives are a journey, and though sometimes the distances may seem vast, you just have to take it one step at a time.
